Peep Show: Very rare and attractive 1828 Peep Show featuring 'A View of the Tunnel under the Thames, as it will appear when completed'. Accordian style six stage view through the famous Thames Tunnel engineered by Thomas Cochrane & Marc Brunel. This is a rare survivor, many peepshows were produced for tourists after the opening of the tunnel however this one was produced in 1828 the same year a massive fl ood haulted work and nearly ended Marc Brunel's life. The Thames Tunnel, the world's first underwater tunnel, was finally opened in March 1843, and is still in use today. Extremely rare. In good condition with some repairs
