Okewa (bill hooked shaped club). A rare and early Chatham Islands Okewa made from schist stone with bill hooked shaped blade with curved handle. Repair to tip of the blade. Probably used by the Moriori on the Chatham Islands to kill seals. A similar example illustrated in Taonga Maori in the British Museum by Dorota C. Starzecka, Roger Neich and Mick Pendergrast.
