Description:
The Colonel Wynyard Maori cloak. Given to Colonel Wynyard by the wife of an Auckland Maori Chief c.1850-1860. Col. Robert Henry Wynard was Governor General of New Zealand for a few months, while Governor grey visited England. Wynyard died in 1864. Dark kiwi feathers, some missing, but overall in good condition. Mounted and framed. 102 cm x 82 cm cloak size.
