Beautiful large greenstone mere contact period, century 1800. The colour is superb with black flecks throughout. a small ridge line is visible. The history of the mere has been lost but the previous vendor thinks it yay have come from Northland. Sold originally at Dunbar Sloane Wellington in 1985. Length 40.5 cm. Width 11.5 cm.
