A beautiful and rare Maori 19th century kiwi feather cloak with flax fibre backing (muka). Around the edges a border of Tui and Kaka feathers (a few kiwi feathers missing on one corner). The kiwi feathers are tightly packed giving a fine lustrous appearance. 115 x 122 cm.
