Late 19th/early 20th century New Ireland Totok figure painted in red, black, and yellow. Used in ceremonies; at the height of the ceremony the figure is imbued with ancestral spirits. This totok has outstretched arms which are rarer and could possibly indicate some Christian missionary influence.
