C1915-16 Middle East group, commercial set of 31 and a set of 14 headed 'British Official Photograph' both 87 x 60 mm, by 'cm Cairo' plus a group (155+) of mixed sizes, up to 110 x 72 mm taken by an Australian soldier (H.M. Irwin?). Besides general scenes also including views of army life and views of the more dramatic aspects of war. Noted downed 'roplanes, the Imperial Camel Corps entering Bethlehem and a village near Amman, General Allenby in Jerusalem, Pow's including beheaded prisoners, New Zealand troops entering Jericho etc. An informative collection for the military historian.
