An Australian silver mounted emu egg inkstand, by Jochim Matthias Wendt, Adelaide, circa 1875 the horizontal mounted egg with an inset diorama of grazing emus in a landscape, raised on a chased oval base with an indigenous hunter holding a club and spear stalking an emu and kangaroo, the inkwell with a cover of a cockatoo perched on a branch, ebony plinth, marks obliterated, 25 cm high.
