An Australian silver mounted emu egg, by Jochim Matthias Wendt, Adelaide, circa 1875, the vertically mounted egg on an oval domed cased base and flanked by a bronze indigenous hunter holding a club and with one foot on a slain emu, and a kangaroo, emu finial, ebony plinth, marked 'J.M Wendt/Adelaide', 22 cm high.
