An Australian silver mounted 'Cameo' emu egg, by Jochim Mathias Wendt, Adelaide, circa 1870, raised on a chased domed base, the vertically mounted egg carved with a kangaroo amongst ferns, cast emu finial, 'WENDT/Crown/Lion Passant/Queen Victoria's Head', on an ebonised plinth, 24 cm high.
