An Australian silver emu egg, by William H Spencer, Adelaide, circa 1880, the vertically mounted egg with an inset mirrored diorama of a farmer resting under a tree watching his sheep, the embossed and chased base with an indigenous Australian on his hands and knees stalking an emu, applied xanthorrhoea grass to the base, the chased stem covered by climbing vine leaf and radiating fern leaves and kangaroo finial, unmarked, 30 cm high.
