Carter, circa 1870 the circular tilt top with a central specimen timber chess board and border made from native Australian timbers including, cedar, musk, casuarina, cypress pine, eucalypt, silky oak, beefwood or banksia and coachwood, supported on a tapering barley-twist column on a circular platform base with acanthus leaf and empty shield carved collar, raised on three carved feet, with paper label to the underside of top, 'From/ R.T.
