A large Chinese cinnabar rectangular lacquer box, late Qing or Republic, the top of the cover decorated with two dragons pursuing a central flaming ball amongst clouds, surrounded by 'Waves and Mountains' pattern along the border, all against a 'Swastika' ground, the four sides of the cover and the box all repeating the motif of dragons and flaming ball, the foot rim of scrolling foliage. 35.5 cm x 58 cm x 56.5 cm
