Two rare Charles II oak long joint stools or benches, English, late 17th century, the rectangular seats with thumb moulded edge above a plain frieze and raised on turned legs joined by a single stretcher, 134 cm wide, 24 cm deep, 54 cm high. Provenance: National Gallery of Victoria. Sotheby's, the Connoisseur's Collection, October 2007, Melbourne, lot 45.
