A German gilt metal lantern clock by Winterhalder & Hofmeier, circa 1890, with strapped bell within three pierced frets, above a silvered Roman chapter ring and putti mask spandels raised on acorn feet, the two side doors with applied sunburst decoration, 8 day movement, sounding the quarters on two bells, 42 cm high. Provenance: Wilf Davies Willoughby, 1969
