An antique garnet and pearl pendant, circa 1890, the detachable pendant modelled as a stylised cross, set with four oval-shaped cabochon carbuncles, with crossover pearl detail, to the similarly-set gold suspension loop and articulated pipkin terminal, the reverse with oval-shaped silk and glass compartment, with associated gold figure-eight link and pearl chain, mounted in gold, chain with French assay marks, pearls untested, pendant length 5.8 cm, chain length 49.3 cm
