Four Royal Doulton cabinet plates, a 'Gibson Girl' plate, 'Failing to Find Rest and Quiet in the Country She Decides to Return Home', copyright 1901 by life Publishing Co., printed signature; one painted with roses within a pink and gilt ground, indistinctly signed; one painted with pan playing pipes; and another (4).(in around 1890, Charles Dana Gibson, an American artist and illustrator created a series for life magazine title the Gibson girls. The series followed the adventures of a mischievous independent young lady and were reproduced for Royal Doulton in 1901.)
