A miniature on ivory of a young girl with ribbon, tied hair in ringlets and decollete white dress with blue sash and orange shawl, signed Daysi M Brookes rectangular, gilt wood frame 14 x 9.5 cm. Notes: Little is known of the artist, Mrs Brookes but her works were exhibited at the Royal miniature Society, London and Le Salom, Paris. British Pathe have photographic images of her painting in a garden at Norwich, Norfolk in 1956
