An Australian silver mounted emu egg by Evan Jones, Sydney circa 1880, the vertically mounted egg on a domed ovolo base chased with leaves rising to a tree trunk issuing fern leaves, applied with shield engraved 'Present to T.H. Chandler Esq, by the employees of the Newcastle Steam Ship/Co. Lime St Sydney, April 3rd 1882', engraved girdle and an emu amongst ferns finial, marked 'Evan Jones/Sydney' 28 cm high
