Collection of paintings of 146 Melbourne Cup winners by Equine Artist Janet Thomas comprising every winner from 1861-2011, painted 1980s-2012, all, oil on board, signed and dated lower left, with plaque lower centre showing hosre's name (146) majority 40 cm x 49.5 cm. Provenance: The collection was originally commissioned by Peter Karol in the 1980s to coincide with the 1988 Bicentennial celebrations. It was then acquired by the vendor who subsequently commissioned Janet Thomas to paint the most recent winners. Other Notes: Please note that a sample 5 of these paintings will be available to view. The whole collection will also be available to view on a slideshow. This lot can only be collected by appointment from the vendor's property.
