A rare Tibetan monk's jewelled hat, 19th century, of fabric encrusted with numerous turquoise pebbles along with various other coloured stones including agates and bands of small mother-of-pearl nuggets, a silver plaque encrusted with turquoise jewels surmounts the front centre of the headdress, and an integral flap hangs to the rear heavily encrusted with red seed beads.
