A good old carved ivory figure of a seated nobleman, his right hand clasping a belt form to his chest, his left hand to his thigh, deep rich old patina and age cracking, his sectional neck collar and head top in a paler tone, possibly later. Probably 17th/18th century, fitted to a later ebonised carved wood stand. Height overall 15.5 cm, ex. an old family collection, Arney Road, Remuera, small repair to belt
