A c.1950 William Southam (Sydney, Australia) split cane big game fishing rod, inscribed 'The No. 6 Saltwater Rod', with original chromed metal fittings, rubber grip to the base and cloth above the reel, roller head tip and four graduated eyes all with original fine green lacquered bindings, inscribed with maker's name and 2/4 '7', fitted with an earlier big game 'Peetz' mahogany and brass reel with line depth gauge, on/off check and original maker's label, complete with a vintage stitched leather gimbal.
