A gold lacquer Suzuribako, 19th century, the nashiji ground decorated with flowering peony, chrysanthemum and prunus branches within florette diaper motifs, the interior of the cover bearing a nashiji ground decorated with a crane standing on the waters edge gazing at two others in flight among trailing clouds, the box containing an ink-stone, and silver water-dropper in the form of a pair of hares 26 cm by 21.
