A Chinese export blue and white and brown-glazed tea bowl and dish, qing Dynasty, Yongzheng period (1720s), salvaged from the Ca Mau cargo, the interior of the bowl and the dish decorated with the ‘Boy on a Promontory’ pattern, the exterior of each cafe-au-lait-glazed. Height 3.5 cm (cup). Diameter 10.5 cm (dish). Provenance: ‘made in Imperial china’ (Ca Mau cargo) sale, Sotheby’s Amsterdam, January 29-21, 2007, lots 76519 and 39676 (original lot stickers and inscriptions underside)
