Marti et Cie, also marked Hersant, Paris, bell striking, the two-part enamelled Roman numeral dial with exposed brocot escapement in a drum-head case raised on volutes flanking a glazed panel showing the Ellicott-type pendulum, on a moulded plinth base, with francia rosso marble details throughout, the pair of tazze conforming, height 45.5 cm.
