A fine c15th century Japanese wakizashi sword signed 'Yoshimitsu', in full polish, held in a shirasaya and has a late Edo period koshirae with tsunagi (wooden blade), the fittings are shakudo, nanako and fuchi/kashira of water dragons, menuki of plants and insects, the tsuba is iron with basket weave pattern and water dragons. The kogai and kozuka have shakudo decoration. the saya with dark brown lacquer. The suriage with partial signature remaining with the smith identified as Yoshimitsu, further details available
