Turkish ottoman large Chainmail armour, 16th - 17th century formed of interlocking iron rings individually hand forged and riveted, with long sleeves, falling below the waist line, with central opening at the front, which originally was fastened with a strap of leather. Height 76.5 cm (from shoulder to bottom). Note: This particular chainmail armour is constructed from much thicker gauge and stronger rings than most Islamic chain, which is characteristic of early ottoman chain, and was considered luxury armour, affordable for higher rank, upper-class warriors
