Rare fine Turkish ottoman Yataghan sword blade dated c.1570, inlaid with gold koftgari work, depicting old Arabic script writing and pattern welded in an ottoman style known as 'Turkish ribbon' 21 inches long. The hilt and scabbard are later refurbishment, dating early 19th century, as many of these swords were passed down through generations., decorated with silver and silver-gilt repousse work and coral cabochon stones sword length 72 cm.
