A New Zealand colonial rimu sideboard made in Northland by Dalmation immigrant Leopold Zanders, the upstand back with three defined points and a shaped shelf above a small conforming shape and panelled cupboard with applied heart, triangle and diamond mouldings, the tall base with two heavily panelled doors flanking the central panel with three-dimensional applied heart, all above two doors each with two pointed top panels, other applied mouldings, wide flared thumb moulded base. 137 cm x 54 cm x 1780. Leopold Zanders reputedly settled in Puhoi and built the staircase in Governor Grey’s mansion
