A quality 19th century French Empire style ormolu cased mantel clock figured with a lady reading, she rests on the clock case of cube form with draped cloth to the top surmounted by an oil lamp, the circular enamelled dial with Roman numerals, signed ‘Weibel à Lyon’ and with birds below to the corners, all raised on a rectangular plinth base decorated with cherubs and florals in relief, raised on four bell form feet, the movement with hour and half hour bell striking and silk suspension pendulum, c.1838. 34 cm x 12.5 cm x 37 cm
