A pair of Japanese kutani vases, meiji Period (1868-1912), ovoid with a short waisted neck, each with opposed large shaped panels, one decorated with figures overlooking an extensive river landscape, the other with flowering foliage and birds, a pair of small crescent-shaped landscape panels to the neck, the borders with gilt and coloured foliate and floral decoration, signed underside. Height 33 cm.
