A Straits Chinese embroidered silk textile, early 20th century, rectangular with a bowed lower edge, embroidered in colours and gold thread with a symmetrical design of a large central flower flanked by a pair of phoenixes surrounded by other flowering foliage and smaller birds and animals, the border conforming, the lower edge fringed with beads and tassles, mounted and framed.
