A large marble bust of a warrior, possibly 16th century, the figure carved with his head turned slightly to the right, classically draped and wearing a close fitting skull cap, together with a plinth, the bust 79 cm high, the plinth; 113 cm high. Provenance: formerly in the Cesare della Seta collection, 1975. Published: Bonham's London, 22nd April 2009, lot 69. Exhibited: on loan to the University of Melbourne, Australia, 1981 - February 1993.
