A late 19th century red lacquered Chinoiserie long case clock the dial signed Robt. & Peter Higgs, London, circa 1870, with an eight day bell sticking anchor escapement movement, the brass Roman numeral chapter, subsidiary seconds dial and calendar within embossed arabesque surrounds, the hood with a stepped pediment, the whole painted with court scenes on a red ground, 245 cm high.
