French carriage clock by Le Roy of Paris c.1840 early multi-piece engraved brass case with heavy bevelled glasses to three sides and top. Brass back with shuttered winding and setting apertures, a strike/silent switch and a regulator slide. 8-day bell escapement. Top of rear plate stamped 'Le Roy a Paris'. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, fine blued steel hands and engraved brass mask. Running order. Height 18.5 cm (handle up). Width 10 cm, with key.
