An exceptionally tall and elegant Japanese vase with the Imari palette, with good proportions. Meiji period, 19th century. Underglaze blue and coloured enamels highlighted with gilt. The front and reverse cartouche with court ladies, the overall design richly painted with flowers, birds and brocade patterns. Provenance: A collection of a lady. Height 92 cm. & Circumference 152 cm
