The fuel was Magnesium based. The first torch relay covered a distance of 3075 km from Olympia to Berlin, crossing seven countries in 11 days & 12 nights, by 3075 runners. The stadium fl ame was ignited by the last German runner, Schilgen, at 5:20pm on August 1, 1936.
