Quadrant English or American, with ebony frame with an old repair to the sight mount. Blank ivory name plate and brass index arm. Ivory scale -2' to 95' by 1?. Ivory vernier without tangent screw. Index mirror with three filters. Horizon glass. Sight vane double peep with pivoted cover. Varnished keystone box, the vernier is cracked and has verdigris from the brass screws, the ivory scale is complete but shows browning. Absence of a tangent screw places this quadrant in the 18th century. C1780.
