Antique Japanese Wakizashi short sword, the blade probably shobu zukuri with yokote not evident and ihori (iori) mune, with fine pitting to blade and larger chip to edge but within hamon although barely visible, the tang probably futsu iriyamagata and unsigned, with engraved and inlaid iron tsuba and gilt patterned habaki, tsuka with crocodile menuki and black textured saya. Blade length 58.5 cm
