Japanese Katana sword with Kai Gunto fittings, the blade shinogi zukuri chu kissaki and ihori (iori) mune, with choji hamon ashi and gilt habaki, the tang futsu haagari with single hole and signature attributed Hizen (no) Kuni Masamitsu, in a shira saya with copy of tang and further inscription (split), having naval kai gunto fittings mounted separately. Blade length 68 cm. Certificate from master polisher Kotoken Kajihara dating blade to Gendai period and relating documents by Tom Kiernan
