A fine Thuya and rosewood desk in the French manner, third quarter 19th century, possibly English, with a gallery of three short drawers above the fall-front, opening and extending with a mechanical action to a leather-lined writing surface and a satinwood interior of small drawers and compartments, a pair of shaped frieze drawers below, the fall-front and gallery drawers centrally locking.
