A Chinese export silver sauce or condiment pot, zee Sung, Shanghai, early 20th century, and with a chopmark, cylindrical with a flared foot and swing handle, the cover with a recess to one side for a spoon enclosing a plain glass liner, the body decorated with an encircling snarling dragon in relief on the finely-punched ground, a circular cartouche to one side engraved with a Western monogram AJ. Height 12 cm. (handle not raised) Silver weight 227gr
