A small Chinese export blue and white vase, qing Dynasty, Kangxi Period, late 17th century, probably salvaged from the Vung Tau cargo of square yen-yen shape, the sides of the neck and body alternately painted with landscapes and flowering foliage, a painted leaf mark underside. Height 15.5 cm. Provenance: Almost certainly 'Vung Tau cargo' sale, Christie's Amsterdam, April 7-8, 1992
