New Zealand's first Ovation Guitar, ovation 'Classic' acoustic guitar, model number 1113-4 with Spanish pine top, ebony fingerboard and Ovation Lycrachord bowl. Impressed Ovation stamp internally. with original case and owner's manual serial number 6329 - circa 1975. Length 103 cm, catalogue note: in the early 1970s Gray was a director of the musical instrument importer Gunn Industries which had the first sole agency for Ovation guitars. This was the first of a batch of six imported and personally selected by Gray and used by him extensively on recordings and concerts in the 1970s and 80s.
