A 19th century Louis XV style scarlet tortoiseshell and cut brass inlaid ebonised planter or jardiniere, the rectangular top with a lift-out central section enclosing a lead lined interior, within ogee moulded sides, raised on cabriole supports, the whole with Berainesque foliate marquetry panels, gilt metal mounts and sabots, 68 x 77.5 x 44 cm.
