A micromosaic brooch, circa 1880, the rectangular plaque depicting a spaniel in repose, in brown, black, white and green tesserae, within a patterned border of circular white and brown micromosaic, with sculpted gold surround of foliate motif, tesserae deficient and replaced in some areas, width 4.3 cm.
