A fine pair of giltwood eagle console tables originally from Kilkenny Castle in Ireland, second quarter 18th century, each with a verde antico veneered rectangular marble top, above a Vitruvian-scroll frieze, on an eagle with outspread wings standing on a rocky base, on ebonised rectangular plinth with stepped corners, areas of re-gilding, 115 cm wide, 61 cm deep, 83.5 cm high.
