A French late 19th century Louis XVI style ormolu-mounted amaranth, sycamore, marquetry and parquetry breakfront commode after a model by Jean Henri Riesener, the rectangular marble top with break front above an egg and dart edge over three frieze drawers and two long drawers with a central marquetry panel with instruments and a ewer, flanked on each side by a flowerhead-filled trellis panels, above above a shaped foliate cast apron, with conforming flowerhead-filled trellis sides, raised on acanthus cast feet, marble top restored and glued down, 148 cm wide, 64 cm deep, 94 cm high.
