A large Japanese carved ivory figure of a hunter, Meiji period, the aged man dressed in his hunting outfit with a straw vest, drawing a rifle from his back, his bandolier suspended with an inro in the form of a head of a cat, his hunting falcon landing on his shoulder, gripping a small bird by its neck, a variety of different birds suspended from the hunter's back and waist, a pheasant about his feet. 43.5 cm high.
